This is a collection of short pieces I've written over the years, purely for my own entertainment. The title comes from a story by Harlan Ellison: From A to Z in the Chocolate Alphabet. It's a collection of unrelated fragments that range from the people in elevators who won't meet your eyes to Ouroboros, the great worm exiled from earth, to the real whereabouts of Howard Hughes.

I've read it several times and I still have no idea what it's about. But that doesn't matter. It remains one of my favourite Ellison stories, if for no other reason than that it conveys, like few others, the sheer joy to be found in the act of writing. And that's what all the pieces here have in common: I just had fun writing them.
